Bio

kol isha (all lowercase) is an Australian-born, New York-based singer, songwriter, producer, and poet who sings in 18 languages. Her music is genre fluid, moving between folk, EDM, pop, classical, world, experimental, blues, rap, country, and spiritual traditions. At the heart of her work is voice as liberation, storytelling as ritual, and song as a bridge between the personal and the archetypal.

Her debut album Wild Woman unfolds across fifteen genres, reflecting the many faces of the feminine. Entirely self produced, the album is both a sonic exploration and a statement of artistic autonomy in an industry where women remain deeply underrepresented as producers. Wild Woman weaves together shadow work, satire, devotion, vulnerability, and defiance into a body of work that is as theatrical as it is intimate.

Hebrew for “a woman’s voice,” kol isha is both a symbolic rebirth and a reclamation. The name honors her Jewish heritage while engaging critically with elements of its politics, practices, and traditions. Written in lowercase as a nod to bell hooks and as an intentional diminishing of ego, it reflects her ongoing dialogue between identity, spirituality, and creative authorship. Her live performances merge electronic production, live instrumentation, dynamic vocals, and embodied movement. Each show unfolds as a narrative arc rather than a collection of songs, moving between intensity and stillness, shadow and satire, power and presence. Concert becomes ceremony, and ceremony becomes performance.
